$1 Million Worth of Marijuana Found During Lincoln Traffic Stop | KLIN

Two men are behind bars after Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies made a big drug bust near Lincoln on Wednesday morning. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says around 10:30 a.m. deputies spotted a box truck with California plates traveling on I-80 when the driver hit the rumble strips on the shoulder twice.

Houchin believes the driver was aware that deputies were following and the truck exited onto South Highway 77 and Rosa Parks Way. During the stop, deputies became suspicious and both men gave consent to search the truck.

Houchin says they found four homemade crates that contained 437 pounds of marijuana valued at nearly $1 million and 7,800 vape cartridges worth nearly $200,000. 36-year-old Stephen Lowe of Arcata, California and 35-year-old Eugenio Lopez of Glen Oaks, California were cited and booked for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
